120th ANNUAL PORTVILLE ALUMNI BANQUET

Date:  Friday, July 12th, 2019
Start Time:  Registration at 5:30pm, Dinner Served at 7pm
Location:  Event Center at Good Times of Olean
Reservations: Dinner price and dues to be determined

The annual banquet is a Portville tradition that is attended by
about 200 people each year, made up of alumni and their guests.
Our menu will feature a buffet with beef, chicken, and pasta.  A
vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free dinner will also be a meal option.  A
cash bar is also available.

Our business program follows dinner, when we present the alumni
scholarship, Bretzin's award, and Hall of Fame awards.  We
encourage someone from each honor year to speak on behalf of
their class during this time.  The event is a very nice affair and not
overly formal.
Check out our banquet page for more information
on reservations, directions, and more.

reality.  Bring your sunscreen and enjoy the beauty of Portville
from a totally different scenic perspective.  Parking is available at
both the start or the finish for your vehicle.  Youth under age 17

PORTVILLE HERITAGE DAY
Date:  Saturday, July 13th, 2019
Start Time:  10am to 4pm
Location:  Pioneer Park at Main Street and Maple Avenue

Description:  Downtown Portville is a buzz of activity all day
Saturday.  Our Annual Heritage Day coincides with Alumni
Weekend so that everyone can see everyone that is in town and
enjoy the activities from the park to the fire hall and further down
Main Street.  One of the day's biggest highlights each year is the
Antique Car Show.  Ballots are given out so you can vote for your
favorites to win a trophy.  The Fire Department has been
sponsoring the chicken barbecue the past few years and craft
vendors set up their wares all around the park.  There will be a
petting zoo, games for the kids, and lots of fun things to see and
do.  The library has entertainment and vendor booths too.  The
Tyler Eastern Star will host their annual pancake breakfast at the
Masonic Temple from 7:30 to 10:00am.  The Pfeiffer Cabin will be
open Sunday - stop by their booth in the park for more info.
If you would like to sponsor your own booth, the 2019 vendor
application will be posted as soon as it is available.

PCS SCHOOL TOUR
Date:  Saturday, July 13th, 2019
Start Time:
NEW TIME!!  2:30pm
Location:  Front entrance of High School by the Clock

Description:  If it has been a number of years since you have
attended PCS or a ball game or function at the school, you will be
impressed with the expansion and great condition of the school.
Recent exterior changes include the bus circle parking area, a new
entrance to the elementary school, lights for night games and new
bleachers on the football field, an expanded bus garage, as well as
replacement windows for the whole school that resemble the
original 1950 style that many of us remember.  Inside the school,
you will fondly remember our same old auditorium with the
maroon velvet curtains but the library is no longer over the main
entrance, there are north and south gyms, there are media rooms
and robotics technology, and much, much more.  The tour takes
about an hour.
Disclaimer:  Our tour is informative but it is not a forum for
discussing school budgets or policies. If you have questions or
comments about spending or school taxes, they should be
addressed to the Board of Education and not our volunteer docent.
