2018 ~ PCS Alumni Banquet

The next traditional Annual PCS Alumni Banquet will be held on Friday
the 13th, July 13, 2018.  
This date coincides with Portville Alumni
Weekend and Heritage Days.  Mark your calendar!  It will be our 119th
year for the alumni banquet.

The location has not been determined at this date.  The price for the
meal and alumni dues will be determined after the location is selected.  
Your guests do not pay dues.   

In the May timeframe, we will be mailing an invitation to everyone in
the honor years for whom we have a current address.  If you are not in
an honor year, or have not received an invitation, we will post our 2018
reservation form here so that you can print and mail it with payment to
PO Box 516, Portville, NY 14770.  We would appreciate receiving your
reservation by June 29th, 2018.  

As is customary, the social hour will begin at 6:00PM with non-alcoholic
and alcoholic beverages available at the cash bar.  Dinner will be served
promptly at 7:00PM, followed by a short business meeting.  

During the business meeting, the
Alumni Scholarship will be awarded
to a graduating senior student.  Please note:  Starting with our 2018
Alumni Scholarship, PCS Seniors do not have to have a parent that is a
Portville alumnus.  The scholarship will be open to all PCS Graduating
Seniors who would like to apply.

Other awards include the
Alumni Junior Recipient and the Charles
Bretzin Memorial Award
.  We also pay tribute to classmates that have
passed away since last year's banquet -
In Memoriam - and vote on the
election of officers for the upcoming year.  

We would like to express our appreciation to Mary Frair Kichman, our
most recent president, who has stepped down from her position
(2015-2017).  We elected a new President, Teresa Piccirillo, who has
been on the committee for many years.

Members of the
honor year classes are then invited to speak briefly on
behalf of their class and Gary Swetland will present the awards on behalf
of the
Hall of Fame committee to their recipients for outstanding
contributions to our community.

Members and their guests will be seated according to their classes.  The
banquet center is spacious so any special seating arrangements can be
accommodated.  Parking and restroom facilities are always a factor when
choosing the location for the banquet for the comfort of our guests.

Class photographs will be taken again this year by Coni Coletti,
photographer, and Shane Lord from "On Location Photography".  Please
bring cash to the banquet and your photo order will be mailed directly to
you.  Pricing for 2018 will be posted prior to the banquet night.  Coni

Alumni Contact Information

Keeping the database updated with contact information is always a
challenge so we appreciate the efforts of the
class coordinators who are
our primary source of new address information.

We realize that not everyone uses a computer, especially some of our
older alumni.  We will continue to use the traditional postal service of
mailing our reservation forms when this is the only delivery method
available.  However, in an effort to reduce administrative costs of the
Association, we prefer to communicate with our alumni electronically
when possible.  This includes email, Facebook, and other social media.

If you have any updates to your mailing address, email address, or
other contact information, please fill out our
CONTACT US form and
submit it.  Also if you are aware of any alumni obituary that may not
have appeared in our local paper, you can use our contact form to inform
our historian so that they will be honored at the banquet's
